For the last month or so I've been banging my head against a wall trying to get my Object Desktop modules activated. I bought Object Desktop right off the website, and had the CD sent. Now I have the CD, and I've installed the suite and so far I've gotton help from support to activate Windowblinds 6. So far, that's the ONLY thing I've gotton help with, and I've been asking for over 3 weeks! I still have the rest of the modules that are NOT activated.
In order to activate Windowblinds 6 I had to do it offline since the only net I have access too is on a public terminal, so ran through the steps of email activation. I sent the email with the output to activate@stardock.com and got NO reply for 2 weeks after sending 5 emails from 2 different email accounts (asoldierdotnet@yahoo.com & kissthesoldier@hotmail.com ) finally I contacted support@stardock.com and asked for help, and they referred me to billing! so I was contacted by a rep from billing@stardock.com and sent him the activation output to be decoded. He sent me back the activation code which he told me to save in a notepad file and name it sig.bin and place it in the program's root folder in order to activate.
After placing the sig.bin file in the directory, nothing happened, so I once again contacted billing@stardock.com and asked the guy why it was messing up. only after logging onto the forums did I find that I actually had to name it sig6.bin for it to work.
I successfully activated Windowblinds 6, but I've pasted the same file, and even several variations of the filename ( sig.bin sig6.bin etc) to the root directories of each program (dreamscapes etc) and NOTHING seems to work. I still get the nasty activation prompts and the evaluations won't even work. I need help. I'm running Vista XP Home on an HP dv9000 (2007) and I'm pretty heated. I'm in Iraq, so my resources are kind of limited here, so can someone please help me?
